The Opening the Gates July 7th commemoration at Gwynn Oak Park is funded solely by donations from individuals, churches, synagogues, and local business associations. There are no paid staff. Our expenses include the basics for holding an outdoor public event—permits, insurance, trash removal, portable toilets, sound system, water, security—as well as plaques for the participants in the 1963 protests.
We are so grateful to all our donors!
